Edward Pearl Ferris was born in Michigan in 1846 and died in a Confederate prison in Virginia in 1864. Jeffrey Ferris was Edward’s great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather. As I researched this member of the Jeffrey Ferris lineage, I encountered some difficulties and one unusual problem. His grave marker is very, very wrong.
